Why we collect information / what information is collected

We do not collect more information than we need to fulfil our stated purposes and will not retain it for longer than is necessary. We may collect your email address, where you have communicated with us via email, website registration, subscribe to our newsletter, through business events, trade shows, pop-up shops or where you have provided this information to use for general legitimate business interest.

For employment purposes, we will need limited data about personal identifiers, education, employment and financial details. All of the information you provide during the process will only be used for the purpose of progressing your application, or to fulfil legal or regulatory requirements if necessary. We do not require sensitive personal data and do not collect it.

Website

When someone visits our website www.trampindisguise.com we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will make it very clear by asking you to subscribe to our mailing list.

Our website is backed up and the all the files are stored on our hosting account with WordPress and no one apart Tramp In Disguise are granted access on the server.

Tramp In Disguise is not responsible for the content of any other website, including any website through which you may have gained access to our website or to which you may gain access from our website. We do not accept any liability in connection with any such websites or links.

Use of Cookies

We use Google Analytics cookies to store visitors’ preferences and record past activity in order to provide better service for visitors who come to our site. A cookie is a small file that can be placed on your computer’s hard disk or on a website server. Cookies do not retrieve information about you stored on your hard drive and do not corrupt or damage your computer or computer files. You are not obliged to accept a cookie that we send to you, and you can in fact modify your browser so that it will not accept cookies. Online Shop 

Our online shop is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products to you.

Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall. They do not use your data for anything other than for us to be able to process your orders and deal with any queries. You can read more about their policies here

They also maintain security and performance and make sure all the software is up to date.

Through the Shopify portal we keep a customer profile with contact details and a list of purchases.

Couriers

We currently use myhermes and Royal Mail to ship our products. In order to make sure the product arrives we may need to provide personal information to the couriers, including full name, address, phone number and email address. To read more about their privacy policies click here:

e-Newsletter

We use a third-party provider, Mail Chimp, to deliver our event invites and e-newsletters. Our Mailing List Sign Up Form, if completed by a subscriber, collects a very small subset of personal data, which may be shared with, and / or stored on the Mailchimp platform. The data shared with Mailchimp consists only of name and email address.

People who contact us via social media

We use Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, we don’t export any data from there. However, those platforms collect data for analytics which we have access to. Please see their policies for more info.

How we use your information and who we share it with

We may use your information to:

– keep internal records up to date
– process orders that you have submitted
– to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into by you and us
– send you information about our products and events in newsletters, update you with news we think you may be interested in, and any other information you have requested

We will never sell or rent your personal information to third parties, nor will we share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may pass your information to our third-party service providers or subcontractors for the purposes of completing tasks and providing services to you on our behalf (for example to send you our newsletter). However, when we use third party service providers, we disclose only the personal information that is necessary to deliver the service and we have a contract in place that requires them to keep your information secure and to ensure that they comply with all the requirements of the Data Protection laws.

When you purchase products from us, your payment details are processed by a third-party payment processor who specialises in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions.

How long we will hold your data

We will only hold your data as long as necessary for legitimate business purposes and we will review the personal data we hold every 24 months, and delete anything we no longer need, or is no longer relevant. Information that does not need to be accessed regularly, but which still needs to be retained, will be safely archived.

For employment purposes, if you are successful, the information you provide during the application process will be retained by us as part of your employee file for the duration of your employment plus 6 years following the end of your employment. If you are unsuccessful at any stage of the process, the information you have provided until that point will be retained for 6 months from the closure of the campaign.
